Issue:
Structural beams need to be represented in floor plan views corresponding to the position of the beam compared to the view range settings of the view.
Typically the beams should be displayed in architectural drawings:
- ...with subconscious lines, if they are positioned in a higher place the cutting aeroplane of the flooring plan view
- ...with solid profile lines if they are below the cutting airplane and within the view range of the floor program view
- ...with bold solid contour lines and cutting pattern if they are cut by the cut plane of the floor plan
You want to know how to set up unlike representations of structural beams co-ordinate to the view range settings in Revit flooring program views.
Solution:
Follow these steps in order to go the desired display:
- In order to enable different view representations, make sure, that the option "Testify family pre-cut in program views"in the structural beam familyis unchecked.
- Ascertain the display settings for projection lines using the "Object Styles" or the "Override Graphics in View" functions in Revit. Projection lines will be used when the beam is below the cutting plane and within the view rangeof the floor programme
- Ascertain the display settings for cut lines and cut patterns using the "Object Styles" or the "Override Graphics in View" functions in Revit. These settings will apply if the beam is cut past the cutting plane of the floor plan
- Employ the so-chosen "invisible line pull a fast one on" to display a symbolic line representation of the axle when it is above the cut plane of the floor plan.
